Our Studio.
We work primarily from a well equipped studio in Mitcheldean which we affectionately call “The Pod”. This has a lounge, dressing room and make up area in addition to our main studio area which has three sets in situ and a host of additional props.

Jan McDonald – LBIPP, DipPP
Jan won her first ever 126 roll film camera in a competition in the Twinkle magazine when she was 5 years old and on that day an obsession began. Having left school she completed a photography course and turned her spare room into a darkroom but lacked the bravery to turn it into a career. She then pretended to be a grown-up for 23 years as an I.T consultant during which time she perfected the skill of “walking briskly with a sheet of A4” and “looking busy” but was not fulfilled. Despite having pushed photography to the back of her mind as “just a hobby” for a while all it took was a tiny mid-life crisis to make her realise that there’s more to life than time sheets and project plans and so in 2007 decided to “take a month off” and try running her photography business full time. This has therefore been the longest month on record……
Adam Huckle
Adam met Jan whilst working at his full time profession as a wedding videographer in his other incarnation Adam Huckle Films. Somehow Jan persuaded him to have a go at still photography – to her delight he loved it and to her annoyance he was brilliant at it. Adam’s work at weddings is helped by the many weddings he’s attended as a videographer and he has also uncovered a passion for studio work, excelling in family portraiture. Daniel Tuck
Dan met Jan when she photographed his wedding to Cath back in September 2011 – she must have done a reasonable job as both he and Cath still speak to her even now. On discovering Dan’s interest in photography, Jan co-opted him onto the team and his talent for wedding reportage photography is much in demand. Dan is also a whizz at Photoshop, much to Jan’s delight and she takes great pleasure in offloading her editing to him. Sanchia Finlay
